Gordon Blake - Level 4 Advocate (TIP-DVA)

Gordon served in the RAN from 1979 until 1994. He left the RAN as a Petty Officer Electronic Technical Communications. Upon discharge he worked in a number of technical positions until his retirement. Gordon was one of the founding members of the Greenbank Naval Assoc and is currently the Queensland Chairman of the Australian Veterans & Defence Services Council Inc. He also serves as a member of both the Queensland Ex-Service Round Table on Aged Care and the Queensland Treatment Monitoring Committee.

Robert Cross - Level 2 Case Officer (TIP-DVA)

Robert served in the Australian Army from 1972 until 1999, with operational duty at Butterworth Airbase, Malaysia, in 1973,74,75 and again in 1982.He was medically discharged in 1999, with the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Since discharge, he’s been involved in Veterans’ concerns, with his former Infantry Battalion 8/9 RAR Association, Gaythorne RSL, RFDWA, and ASAC. Robert has trained to Level Two Case Officer, and has attended TIP Training refresher courses.  Robert works at ASAC Office, RSL-SED New Farm, one day a week, provides support at   VASA Toowong, one day a week and with 8/9 RAR Association one day a week.

Sonja Hellier - Level 3 Advocate (TIP-DVA)

Sonja attended Welfare, Pensions, MCRS , & Garp/Sop Seminars at DVA late 2001 - early 2002. An ex WRAN RO(s), Sonja is married to Alan "Shags" Hellier ex Sparker. They have a son currently WOCIS in RAN.  Appointed Welfare/Pensions Officer for Holland Park/Mt. Gravatt RSL Sub Branch and Hon. Secretary RAN Communications Branch Association Qld Chapter.

Noel Payne - Level 4 Advocate (TIP-DVA)

Noel Payne served in the RAN from 1965 to 1975 and in the RANR from 1975 to 2000.  He left the RAN as a Petty Officer Quartermaster Gunner.   From 1975 to 1983 Noel held senior management positions within the Ford Motor Company's dealer network.  From 1983 to 1987 he was General Manager of Queensland's largest home entertainment company.  In 1988 Noel retired to a Thoroughbred Horse Stud on the Darling Downs in Queensland. From 1989 to 1993 he owned and overstated Good Year Southport. A political activist for 25 years having been an endorsed candidate for State and Federal Parliament, Noel has been volunteering as an advocate since 1994. Noel is the National President of ASAC Australia.

Ken Sanders - Level 2 Case Officer (TIP-DVA)

Having joined the RAN in 1954, Ken's last position was Leading Writer. Serving in Cerberus & Kuttabul; commissioned Voyager; and Creswell, Ken did one trip to FESR in HMAS Melbourne as L/Wtr, in Retinue, then Nirimba, Penguin, and back to Melbourne. After discharge in 64, Ken worked as a Civilian Clerk in Sydney until re-locating to the Gold Coast in 77. His last employment was with the Gold Coast City Council. Ken is a member of the Naval Association Sub Section Gold Coast and the Far East Strategic Reserve Navy Association (Australia). Thanks to the encouragement of Noel Payne, Ken undertook TIP Training through the DVA, completing Pensions; Welfare; and Electronic Tools Courses. Ken attends ASAC Office one day a week and assists Noel Payne in the Southport office whenever possible.

Jim Blake - Level 1 Welfare Officer (TIP-DVA)

Jim served in the Royal Australian Army as a medic and served in Korea. He now resides on the Gold Coast
